Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy
Ron Burgundy is San Diego's top rated newsman in the male-dominated broadcasting of the 70's, but that's all about to change for Ron and his cronies when an ambitious woman is hired as a new anchor.
"OOOOOOOO" Snap: 8/10
Been meaning to get around to watching this film before its sequel, and I was not disappointed. Although I'm not a fan of over-the-top comedic characters, Anchorman had a variety of characters to target any audience member. It was full of good old fashioned slapstick humor to keep the energy high and didn't overlook any detail, from spiked bats in the street rumble, to the Flute Solo. The film's crude sense of humor isn't for young audiences, but is mild enough to gain a rating of PG-13.
At the heart, Anchorman truly explores the story of Ron Burgundy as he falls from the top of the charts in San Diego. The story will have multiple moments seemingly out of place and leaving you in shock, for comedic effect. No one can forget the Quartet in Ron's office, "Afternoon Delight" For those who haven't seen the film or unsure if its worth a watch, "I don't know how to put this but [It's] kind of a big deal"
