A woman, accidentally caught in a dark deal, turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
"OOOOOOO" Snap 7/10
I liked "Limitless" and decided to give Lucy a go despite having come across the story before. Mitch and I had the opportunity to view it Downtown Vancouver while attending a VFS intensive. (Blog post regarding that is on its way)
I found that Lucy was a complete story, with a good beginning, great middle, and fantastic end. I especially enjoyed the story because there was a thought provoking element to it. "What if I did have access to %100 of my cerebral capacity?" Near the beginning of the film I was rather impressed by the CGI ape. I don't believe I've seen CGI of that quality. Scarlett Johansson did an exceptional job, despite having to access a state of being that's unlikely to be acquired. Alongside her Morgan Freeman also performed wondrously. The more I bear witness to Freeman's excellence the more I like him. He seems like a pretty cool dude. Another element that stood out in this picture was the production design. All components of "Mise en Scene" were there in a very fitting and aptly way. Overall, Lucy was a great picture. I'd say yeah.... you should give it watch.
